Question:- Why plants look
green?
Answer:-
Mostly plants look green due to the presence of chlorophyll pigment.
The colour of the object is the colour of the light reflected by it. When white
light consisting of seven colours falls on plants, the chlorophyll present in
plants absorbs all the colours except green. So, when a beam of white light
falls on a plant, the green colour of the light is reflected. That is why,
plants look green.
